4.      Introductory remarks

The Chairperson opened by recapping the tenth oral evidence session on the APG’s inquiry. Members heard from Erin McAvoy, Research Associate in Gambling Studies at the School of Sport, Ulster University who presented her PhD research, which explores the effects of gambling advertising on women on the island of Ireland from a public health perspective.
