APG to conclude inquiry into public health approaches to tackling gambling-related harms with final evidence session

Next week, the Northern Ireland All Party Group (APG) on Reducing Harm Related to Gambling will conclude the evidence-gathering phase of its inquiry into public health approaches to tackling gambling-related harms. Members will hear oral evidence from Raymond Caldwell, Director of Curriculum and Assessment, Department of Education and Noeleen McGreer from the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA). The session will be themed around the prevention of gambling-related harms among children and young people, through education and public health messaging in schools. This will be thirteenth session of this inquiry.

The meeting will take place at 11:00am in Committee Room 30, the Parliament Buildings. There will also be a hybrid option. If you would like to attend as an observer, please contact the APG secretariat at secretariat@gamharmapg.org.

A subsequent inquiry report will be published in due course, and will make recommendations to the Northern Ireland Executive on the next phase of gambling reforms.
